Privacy
Short version: the positions you type stay on your device, and the site never asks where you are.
Positions you enter
All conversions and calculations run in your browser. Coordinates and grid references you type are not uploaded, logged or shared, and the site has no accounts or server-side forms.
Your location
The site does not use your device's location. Its security headers switch the browser's geolocation feature off for every page, so it could not ask for your position even by mistake.
What is stored on your device
Only one thing: if you choose light or dark with the theme button, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key northpinnacle-theme. Choosing "Auto" removes it, and clearing this site's data in your browser settings removes it too. The site does not use cookies.
Analytics
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which adds Cloudflare Web Analytics to every page. It counts page views without cookies and without cross-site tracking, and it never receives what you type into the tools. Cloudflare, like any web host, handles the ordinary request data (such as your IP address) needed to deliver the pages; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Pages link to sources, to sister sites and to two recommended services, CleanTempMail and WebTraceCheck. Those sites have their own privacy policies; nothing is passed to them unless you follow a link.
